Just brought my truck into dealership today for the 3rd time within the past year and a half for trans leaks - Anyone having this prob? Also we notice that is seems to go thru alot of engine oil. Have smelled burning oil inside my car a couple of times - dealership says they cant duplicate the problem - Also, the truck never seems to want to kick into gear on the HWY - and the RPM's end up going high before it kicks in - again dealership says they cant find anything wrong - Realy getting frusterated................

The hoses from transmission are leaking and so is the power steering. i am about to give up on Jeeps forever; this is the second forum i am on regarding this Commander. What's more, in this case i have to go with replacing the faulty jeep parts with more Jeep parts instead of getting a higher quality replacement.I can't believe i let go of a jaguar for a jeep because i thought the maintenance would be less expensive; what's more, Jaguar/Ford still carries mentality that they want people to love their cars and to want to buy more from them whereas Jeep Chrystler couldn't care less...i guess their bankruptcy status keeps them from taking care of business in a forward thinking manner.
