my engine temp gauge has stopped working for a week now and as a result my check engine light is on and my remote start wont work either. I have had numerouse problems since I have had this car it is a 2006hhr and should have a lifetime warrenty because of the money I have had to put into it because of all of these problems and this is just the latest

Thermostat is likely stuck open and engine running cooler then it should causeing CE light to come on (been there).

I've this problems a number of times. I took my 07 2.2L to the dealer and they said that it was an old backfire number in the computer. Didn't really believe him I thought to myself that this happens to much for that. Its a glitch that they don't know what to do with and now they are making up stuff.
