Hi Grant,

Quite ironic you ask this question. I also have a 2008 Pacifica. And I just bought an aftermarket fllip down monitor for the car. And just today, I took the car out to a stereo installation place to get it installed. And not only does the roof do not have the wiring, the back of the head unit (dvd player), there are no RCA video/audio outs. There is a place where you can plug in a proprietary Chrysler wiring harness to install a proprietary Chrysler monitor. In other words, if you keep the Chrysler head unit, you have to get a Chrysler-bought monitor and/or wiring harness.

Anyways, long story short, my aftermarket monitor will not work on the Chrysler head unit dvd player. Either buy a monitor from Chrysler and pay the marked up price. Or buy a new head unit.

Overall, I just purchased a monitor I can't use unless I want to spend more money on a new head unit.
