#1 of 2 Sound of AIR FLOW until BRAKE depressed!
Nov 13, 2009 (6:33 am)
2005 Gator. Sound of flowing or escaping air from the general brake pedal area. Then when the brake is depressed the air flow sound stops...until the brake is released, when it starts again.
Please share your experiences or suggestions on this scary (brakes! + Life) situation.
#2 of 2 Sound of air when pedal depressed: Solution

There is a sort of ring at the base of the brake pedal plunger that moves on the plunger cylinder. There is grease behind this ring. By greasing the shaft, it then moves freely without pulling the ring from it's seated position near the base at the firewall area.
