I received an official looking post card that inferred it was sent by Infiniti to extend my warranty services. The notice stated I had until a certain date to extend my warrant or I would never have that opportunity again. I called and spoke to a slick sales person that was trained to invoke fear while eluding truth in that she did not represent Infinity but instead a so called waranty Svcs Corp. I follishly gave her my credit card number and expiration date whereupon she advised the $401 charge was just a partial payment of a total cost of more then $2,000 to extend my warranty. Sensing misrepresentation or perhaps an all out scam I attempted to revoke the "purchase" of just a few moment ago. She said it could not be done!! I was told by a customer service rep that the card, caller and he represented Endurance Warranty Services in Chicago, Ill. He also said the purchase could not be revoked.   I called to the Infiniti dealer who confirmed the warranty notice was not sent by Infinity now was it sanctioned by them. They are investigating. Chase Visa Cardmember Services is also investigating. I have been assured they will not extend the first $400 installment of my total payment of more then $2,000. Infiniti is very distrurbed that these people are misrepresenrting themselves and using fear to frighten and entice their customers. Nowhere on the notcie does the name of the warranty company appear.   I suspect strongly that this information could have been forward to this shyster company by a dishonest Infiniti employee who could have furnished the names and particulars of purchase for perhaps thousands of Infinitis.   I called the Infiniti who is deeply disturbed and are also investigating.   If you received a cryptic notice designed to invoke fear on the duration of Warranty Services. It does not come from Infiniti but instead: ENDURANCE WARRANTY SERVICES, CHICAGO ILLINOIS. It is not an Infinity authorized solicitation. BEWARE!!!! Replying to: richwolo (Nov 11, 2009 1:03 pm) This is just one big scam; this is analogous to all the phone calls both I and I've seen other people have gotten on the news stating that their car's warranty is about to expire and you need to immediately renew and extend your car's warranty by giving them your social security and credit card numberS   under no means, either by a a letter or phone call from a company not stating their name that your car's warranty is going to expire and you need to extend it should you give them a credit card number or your social security number; if you have warranty problems or extensions you should call the auto manufacture directly, that way you know you've initiated the call!!!   CONSUMER BEWARE!!!!
