Do not buy the '06 (electronic brakes). Had an '07 wagon; great car. Had for 47 months and 39k miles.
Saw the new "11 wagon and ordered asap.
Thousands of improvements over the '07.
Traded at the right time and paid half price for the '11: pd. $35k on a $65k car including sales tax and title.

Congratulations on your 2011 Mercedes. Thank you for your advice. I will buy the 2007 E Class instead of the 2006.
