01 Disco II- radiator hose blew - now having transmission problems by discoii01

a small radiator hose that went to a cannister by the right side of my radiator on my 01 Discovery II suddenly blew off and sent antifreeze throughout the engine compartment. Once repaired, I drove out onto the road only to find that my transmission suddenly developed shifting problems. The engine exceeded 3000 to 3500 RPMs before shifting would take place and as I got nearer to home, it began demonstrating problems with downshifting, causing the Rover to lurch as it downshifted at too high of speeds.

Since the transmission is electronically controlled, what could the antifreeze have affected that would cause this problem and how do I locate the source under the hood? Where is the control module for the transmission?

thanks
