Hello, My 2000 blazer shifter position indicator light stopped working. All other cluster lights work fine, just missing the gear position one. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Replies to this message: pilotgreg1 (Nov 10, 2009 6:51 pm)

Replying to: dolphin1 (Nov 08, 2009 12:51 pm) Dolphin1: Sounds like the same problem I had in my 1999 Blazer LS. The instrument cluster has to be removed and opened up to expose the printed circuit board that has the shift position display. I found two bad solder joints, cleaned and resoldered them. This corrected the problem and it has been OK for 6 months now. It's not that hard to remove the cluster if you are handy, or know someone who is. The rear of the cluster can be pried open with a screwdriver to get at the circuit board. The bad solder joints were obvious to the trained eye as well as some tapping on the pins to see if they move.
