We're getting a Sienna LE. The dealer is adding an aftermarket parking assist that he assures me will be just like the Toyota version. (not available from Toyota other than from the factory) I'm not familiar with the feature other than my wife has had a backing up mishap so we thought it a good idea.

I'd appreciate a description of how many sensors it ought to have, where they are and how it works. We got a good price on an 8 seat LE they're bringing from another dealership but I do not have good feelings about our salesman or the buying experience at this dealership.

I just took a look at our Ltd and there are a total of 6 sensors: 4 on the rear bumper, 2 on the front. Also, the sensors on our vehicle are color matched to the paint. I've seen other Siennas where the sensors were not painted.

I've only been driving our vehicle for about 2 weeks, but the sensors, combined with the backup camera has been very useful for parking. This vehicle is our first minivan and I am not use to the size yet!

So you got it? Congrats, buddy!

I switch between driving a Miata and a Sienna, and I got used to it, so I'm sure you'll adjust in time.

Oh yes we got it and are loving it! I was wondering if you saw my post on the Buying Experiences topic.

I've been enjoying driving it. It's a luxury liner compared to my Legacy GT. The last time I drove my Legacy GT, it felt like I was in fighter plane.

Getting used to parking it. The sensors and cameras are fantastic.

Guess I missed that. I thought I had a subscription to all the Sienna threads, but I've been so busy at work I probably just missed it.

Congrats.
