I'm interested in ordering a new M3 and want to pick the options that would maximize its performance. I'm thinking carbon fiber roof, technology package and I personally like a manual. I'm also wondering about 19" vs. 18" wheels. I'd think 19" would have slightly better grip but 18" would be lighter. Any suggestions?

Replying to: lostit3 (Oct 21, 2009 8:50 pm) http://www.caranddriver.com/news/car/09q4/possible_2011_bmw_m3_competition_packa- - - ge-spied/gallery It's still a rumor at this point, but it's something to hope for. Looks like BMW has finally come to its senses and will try to offer a more driver/racing oriented product. Hopefully, it will strip at least 200lbs from the current E92 M3 and have better steering feel (meatier with more feedback). I hope this car will not loose its rear seats, AC, and radio. The rest can go..especially i-Drive and even tech package. I hope the car will come with better and lighter seats as well. I hope it will only come in manual. Lastly, I hope this competition package option, if that's what it is, wont cost more than $5000. Joseph San Diego |
