will not run

What is this discussion about? Chevrolet S-10, GMC Sonoma, Truck

Can someone help me out, I cant figure it out. I have a 2001 s10 with a 2.2 and I was driving on the freeway and I lost power so I pulled over and it stopped running. I thought it was the cat so i took it off and it started up. I turned around and got a couple miles and did it again but this time it will not run at all. It will sputter and dye.
