I am looking at buying a 2004 Passat Wagon. During the test drive there was a hi pitched whistling sound out the drivers window. It is louder when the window is open so it can't be related to the window not being closed tightly. It sounds like air whistling through something. I stopped at the dealer but they said they hadn't heard of this problem (yeah right). Also he's got 60,000 miles on it and was told no brakes are needed yet.
