I'm currently having problems with my vehicle stuck in high gear all the time. So far its damaged the gears in the front end which have been replaced. But the transfer box is still stuck in the high gear. Mechanics have tried another secondhand box but it seems to have the same problem. The electronic switch is apparently working fine. Does anyone know if this is a manufacturer problem in this model? There is no switch in this model to turn it off. Just the high low gear option. Vehicle Details: 1998 Toyota Landcruiser, 40th Anniversary Series GXL Automatic 4200 Petrol So far its been in the workshop for nearly two weeks and I'm stuck in a caravan park waiting still for Toyota to fix it. But it seems they don't even know how.
