Can I get a valet key WITHOUT a chip/fob/transponder?

I am notorious for locking my keys in the car. I have gotten in the habit of having a valet key in my pocket at all times, in case I do. You really can't comfortably do this, with the Sienna's keys, with their "fobs" (whatever they're officially called) on them. I want a key that's just a key, that does nothing but open the door. Will a locksmith do this for me? Has anyone done it?

Replying to: emkay (Oct 04, 2009 1:29 pm) My dealer provided that to me for free, in fact. I'd ask your dealer for the same thing. Edit: just took a look at it. It's a white card, one side says "Member" and has a Toyota logo, the other side is blank (white). I have tested it before and it worked. |
