I have a DODGE CARAVAN 2000 BASE MODEL. The front passenger side and back slider doors have rusted and the mechanic says that it is cheaper to replace the doors than to do any body work on them. My question is: will the doors of a earlier base model (1997-1999) fit the van I have? some say they won't and some say they will...... I am confused! I'd appreciate your replies. Thanks in advance. Replying to: seshadri (Oct 04, 2009 8:23 am) Try an auto wreckers. The Caravan is a popular vehicle. You should be able to find a replacement door quite easily for your model and year. Good luck.

Replying to: seshadri (Oct 04, 2009 8:23 am) Agreed. Also, the 2000 van shares the same body style with the model years 1996 through 1999, so it is entirely reasonable that the doors are interchangeable.
