Hi All,   Sorry if this has been covered before but has anyone found a way to improve the (IMHO) woefully inadequate cupholders in the 2002 RX300. By wife just switched from an 02 Highlander to an 02 Lexus and finds the cupholders lacking. The HL had a deeeeep well in the console for two drinks. The Lexus has that flimsy foldout top and the ineffective insert in the pull out draws.   I know some will say you shouldn't drink big drinks in the car. What can I say, remember "if momma ain't happy ain't nobody happy!"   I'd like to find a place to mount a holder like the one mounted in the middle of the back seat. Replying to: irishcasey (Oct 01, 2009 8:38 pm) Ever since I bought this car new in '98 I wanted to remove the flimsy pop-up cupholder in the back of the center console, and screw on a nice deep center armrest console box on top of the console in the well the pop-up occupies. To me, it's the center armrests that are lacking and I'd like a nice big wide armrest and storage.   As far as the cupholders go, the insert that fits in the top drawer is adaquate for me. I really use it for a water bottle, not a Big Gulp. If yours came used, maybe the cupholder insert was removed. It fits in either the top or bottom drawer. In the bottom it's less prone to rattling over bumps, in the top it's more usable.   If I could find a plastic box that will fit, I'd take it to an upholstery shop for the armrest. Has anyone else done something like this?
