I guess it comes from my ownership experience with a 1998 model, which I towed with. To line up a hitch and a trailer, you get in, get out, get in, get out.
A backup cam sure woulda been nice.
Plus the cost keeps coming down. It adds just $99 (at retail) to a NAV system, so why not?

Right, right, right. You keep saying it, I keep forgetting it.

The Forester is OK, but if competitors have it, and it can't cost that much, why not?
I put a fish-eye lens on my Sienna. Visibility is not bad, but the window is sort of high, so I can't see the ground several feet behind it.

I have a Tribeca 09 model, we have had issues with cars on the freeway passing us like we are standing still, we have found out that the speedo is out by 10kms so if we do 100 we are realy doing 90. We have approached Subaru to find out that they are saying it is normal in all Subaru's to have a 5 to 10 km tolerance in the speedo reading. Has anyone heard of this ? you pay $65,000 for the top of the line model only to find out that you have no idea what speed you are doing and Subaru say its normal and that they cannot fix it either. The car has done 3300kms and now the cd player has packed it in with a reading on the screen Mech Failure and wont give our cd's back or play them, has anyone had these problems? look forward to responses especialy about speedo reading.

Mine is about 1.5-2 mph off as well. For example, it will read 50, but I'm really going about 48. That's roughly 3.2 kmh, translated. So I would say yours needs to be recalibrated. Warranty should cover it with no problem.

Interesting. Our Forester is spot-on, it's my minivan that is about 2mph optimistic.
I compare both to our GPS.
