Upgrading 2009 jbl amplifier

I just bought a 2009 rav4. I has the 6 speaker jbl sound package. The sound is fine for the sat/ and radio. However I listen to mostly live music on my Ipod and the volume just isnt there. So my question is: I have an Alpine V12 5 channel amp with all the wiring from 2 cars ago sitting under my bed. Can I use this in place of the jbl amp without losing any speakers? If so, How would I wire it up without losing any speakers? The spec on the jbl say its an 8 channel. But I only have 7 speakers I dont get it. Any help would be great. Thanks, Cory
