#1 of 2 Popping/Knocking when downshifting under 30mph by jen812

My 04 Pacifica AWD makes a popping/knocking sound when slowing down as it downshifts to under 30MPH. Does anyone have any idea on what this could be? It has been at the dealership for 2 days now, they hear the noise, but say that it isn't loud enough for them to figure out what the problem is. I told them to keep it until they figure it out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have them look at the front motor mount, the engine shifts forward when you slow down or stop. If it knock's or pop's when you start to go forward it's probably the rear motor mount. These cars are know for strange noises, I have changed several parts chasing noises on my 04 Pac. My advise is turn up the radio and wait until it falls off the car so your sure your replacing parts that need replacing.
It gets very expensive....
