Bad Catalytic Converter? by jsizzle

I have a 94 GMC Sonoma. Few months ago, I took out the Catalytic Converter because my truck would drive fine when its cold but as soon as it gets warm, it stalls and wont drive, just revs but no acceleration (So I just think the Cat is Bad cos its all rusted). My uncle took out some rust off the Converter and installed it back in. Now, I could get it to start but my truck wont drive at all, cold or warm. Would I be able to drive it without the Catalytic Converter? Theres no engine light or rotten egg smell, Converter looks really bad, could that be the problem why my truck wont accelerate?

Buy a new converter, it's Federal Law, you want to be legal don't you.
