I've got a 2000 Trooper 4wd w/ auto. My daughter and her boyfriend (I know) have been the drivers for the past year and a half. Anyway Transmission started acting up. They had it checked and fluid added. Acted up a few weeks later, like low on fluid. Checked it, was ok. Will only drive in 1st gear, won't even move in drive. In 1st, if you stop, you have to shut the ignition off and restart to go again. Then it turns out that the AC has been acting up also, and they said when the ac works (blows cold), the tranny acts up. When the tranny is fine, no cold air. So I'm wondering if this is a computer problem instead, since the tranny is electronic.
