its not about which wheels are making the power, but which car is effectively putting it to the ground. i can see how someone who is used to rwd would say the genesis 'feels' better, but facts are facts and unlike companies like vw, mazda and honda, hyundai has never really been in motorsports and it shows in their products, even the ones geared towards enthusiasts.   i'll take the 3 thanks. I'm not here to convince you that the Mazdaspeed3 is better. Personally, I do not care. If you choose to ignore the facts, that's not my problem either.   Your statements show that you really know nothing about Mazda, or it's products and to claim you do is making you look silly.   Mazda 3 is a overpriced 4dr FWD tiburon.   See my point about looking silly?   I will choose tiburon over Mazda3.   I guess you are the vast minority considering Hyundai has sold a whopping 8,500 Tiburon's YTD and if I recall correctly, Hyundai has canceled it all together.... If a car performs is performs, doesn't matter if it's a FWD 4dr hatch on a 2dr RWD coupe. Oh and as far as quality the Mazda 3 far outclasses the Genesis Coupe, some of you guys must be delusional seriously!   The Mazdaspeed3 is better, period end of story.

I'm mostly more concerned about straight line performance, and how easy the car is to do those things. If you read the "Acceleration Comments" in the article, they are complete opposites. One is "Hard to launch. Wants to bog or boil" while the other is "No special launch technique."   That made up my decision. The Genesis Coupe is the clear winner for me. AND, I get a good looking car to boot!   If I were tallying up the points, that factor would play a much larger role, and put the Genesis Coupe ahead.   Also remember, that although the Mazda won the comparison, it only did it by a mere 1.5pts. So, it really is just personal preference on what you prefer. Try them both out, and see which you prefer. I sure will.
