I've searched high and low for an answer to this question but can't seem to find it. Surprising particularly with this vehicle as the air conditioning barely made it into the standard offering. I'm wondering if anyone has (or knows if they can) build your own Cayenne and have it made to order? Or, were you all stuck with browsing the local inventory and making a decision based on the set of options that fit your needs most accurately? I've ordered 2 BMW's this way and it's great, though it takes ~12 weeks to produce and ship, I can get everything exactly how I want it from the walnut trim to the sport seats, and more importantly I can opt out of all those expensive options that I don't want. I'm looking at doing the same with the Cayenne. The local inventory has thousands of dollars worth of options that I don't need and don't want, and not excited about paying extra for them. Also when you find the right exterior and interior color combo then you're really left with only a few vehicles in inventory from which to choose. I haven't talked to a dealer about this yet, just browsing right now, but would appreciate it if anyone knows the answer to this question if they could post and let me know...
