| My buddy stopped in today to tell me of an issue. He was driving down the interstate doing 70mph all the sudden lost power couldn't go over 60mph pushing the gas to the floor. Limped it home and said he pulled dipstick and smelled gas mixed into engine oil. My first thought was fuel pump but rethinking the situation isn't that fuel injected? So what are my options at this point, fuel injectors stuck open? It was consuming oil prior(I have just done a tiny bit of research today and that is really common) He said it smokes when he starts it(probably from gas mixed with oil). Any help would be appreciated. What could this issue be and what can I do to check some of these things out? | |
