I have a 2007 Laredo that I just bought in November of 2008. Twice in one month I came out to start my Jeep and it wouldn't start. It says "Transmission over temp". It won't turn over and jumping the battery doesn't help either. Does anyone know why this is happening. I took it to the Dealer and they can't find anything wrong with it. Help!

I took it to the Dealer...

So you were able to start it? My guess would be that the transmission fluid sensor is misbehaving.

I have a 2007 loredo with the same problem!!! The thing that sucks is, it doesn't do it all the time, just once in a while. so you take it to the dealership and it starts right up so they don't see a problem. Last time they changed the ignition switch and that didn't work. I am going in for round 2 today. Any suggestions???

I had a similar problem last night. The car started the first 3 times, but would turn off. Then it just would not turn on at all. I tried it again today and nothing. All the lights, radio, and electronics come on. My key remote also is not working. I just had the car towed to the dealer. Does anyone know if this is covered under the warranty?

i dont know much, i think it was a transmission control module that they replaced. i actually had to leave my jeep there and they went out several times a day and tried to start it until the "transmission over temp" sign came on and it didnt start. then they hooked it up to their machines and figured it out from there. they cant fix the problem until it actually doesn't start. at least in my case, my jeep would start for a while, then just out of the blue, it wouldn't start. good luck, hope this helps.
