You must call in to these idiots that XM has answering the phones in the Caribean.
Good luck working with them.

No special equipment is needed. Just call them. Be prepared to talk with some idiots.

I reactivated our XM a couple of weeks ago and the idiot supervisor
said I would be billed $119 per year by mail. No bill has come.
Now I see where they are charging me over $17 per month on my CC.
Without asking, they used the CC information that they had from before
when I had subscribed shortly after buying the car new in 2007.

So I will have to call my CC tomorrow and have them refuse these charges, as
I did not authorize them, and certainly did not agree to that large of a fee!
That amounts to over $200 per year!

Be careful dealing with these low-life types. They're not honest and will try and cheat you.

It's a shame that XM resorts to outsourcing.
Their rates certainly do not reflect any savings for doing that!

Good luck.

XM will need the number of your radio which you probably do not know and cannot find.

This is where you need to ask for a stuporvisor. This person should be able to run
your VIN and get the information that XM needs to be able to activate that radio.
Never mind the talk of you tuning to such and such a channel to be able to
get the radio number, as my radio would not do that!

You do not need or want their more expensive package which I think is what I may have.
That is unless you want to listen to Howard Stern or whatever his name is!

No, you need to tune to a particular channel (channel 0, I think) to get the radio ID. XM can't reliably predict the XM Radio id with just the VIN number.

"XM will need the number of your radio which you probably do not know and cannot find."

For me, when I read a posting that is obviously as uninformed as this one is, I tend to reject the other comments by the poster.

Gee, this got ugly in a hurry!

We already have a good place for this conversation so let's continue here: Hyundai Azera Audio and Entertainment.

And let's leave the name-calling and insults behind, please.
