I'm in the market for a newer 4x2 p/u truck. Preferably gas. Been comparing 2008 dodge , chevy, ford. Having a hell of a time deciding. I like the dodge megacab's size and price. Any suggestions, problems, advice would be greatly appreciated Will be pulling a 26' boat on or a travel trailer every now & then but mostly light duty work. Thanx in advance. Replying to: xpistolpetex (Aug 30, 2009 4:49 am) Keep in mind the MegaCab 1500 is really a 2500 with two differences... a "1" on the door instead of a "2", and a slightly downgraded GVWR rating (8510 vs 8800), although the components are the same. The MC 1500 even has the 8-lug wheels of the HD line. With that extra been, the MC 1500 should handle your towing a lot better than the Silverado 1500 and F150 which are true half-tons on lighter frames. kcram - Pickups/Wagons Host
