#1 of 3 Timing belt AND water pump? by bajachaser

It's time to replace the timing belt on my 2002 Tacoma so;
Should I replace the water pump (as suggested by the garage)? Or wait for it to need replacement?

They quoted me $800---$900 to replace the belt, water pump, idler pulley, and crank gasket.
Do I need ALL this and if "yes", is the price reasonable?
Thanks,

New topics tend to fall through the cracks, as many members subscribe to the ones they like and don't bother with the others.

Try posting in the Toyota Tacoma (2004 and earlier) discussion, and you may get more attention. You can also try posting in the Edmunds Answers area of the site.
