I have 2001 Chevy impala , i bought it recently and used some synthetic oil. About a week ago i began to hear ticking noise everytime i start the car . It only happens with cold engine . Once an engine heats up , noise is gone . Was told to switch oil from synthetic to regular. Some recommend using thicker oil like 10w-40 some say i need 5w-30 oil. "Check engine light " came up several times. What should i do? P.S Car has 146 k miles on it.
