Many Jettas made in 09 and 10 are subject to a recall. The problem could cause catastrophic results. This is highly documented on internet forums. My car suffered the failure but VW of N. America will do NOTHING because they have determined that only certain VIN are affected. MY CAR IS AFFECTED but they will not fix it! I have called 4 times and talked with a supervisor in customer relations and they refuse. They waNT ME TO BRING IT IN WHEN IT HAPPENS AGAIN! My wife and kids are lucky to be alive after the first incident. Watch out for VW! They are not trustworthy. Dr. C. Kolodny
