On my 03 Aztek the A/C died a couple of weeks ago, from reading the post i gathered it was either the blower fan, resistor or HVAC control unit. I tested the blower fan, it works, i just replaced the resistor and still no A/C, so could the control unit be no good even if it still comes on at night with the rest of the dash lights? When i first had the HVAC control unit tested, it was reading 12V, but when connected to resistor, and then test the voltage from the resistor, it was like 2 or 3v. so i figured it was the resisitor, but unfortanltely, the guy that was testing it for me tried to clean the connector for the control unit with a wire brush, and when he touched it sparked, even thought the car was off. so i am wondering if maybe the control unit is shorted now since it is still not working even with the new resistor. and suggestions?
