I'm thinking of replacing the spark plugs on my Fusion. I have 78k on it. First of all, should it be done as I believe the mfg recommended is 100k. Second, if I do replace, do I use the Ford OEM plugs or are there cheaper ones to be had. Replies to this message: akirby (Aug 10, 2009 9:36 am)

Replying to: tbloom (Aug 10, 2009 6:09 am) Go ahead and replace them now. OEM is fine - I wouldn't risk it by trying to save a few bucks on cheaper plugs. If you wait until 100K you may have a hard time getting them out of the block. Since yours is an I4 and the plugs should be easy to get to, you might want to remove and reinstall the plugs every 25k-50K miles.
