Sorry, i don't know if I'm posting this in the right place, but...I have a 1988 Volvo 244 that hasn't been run in over four years and I need to know what has to be done before I start it. I did the oil change and I know about the oil and fuel filter replacements. I got the radiator filled and I think I'm almost ready to start it after replacing the spark plugs, but here's what confuses me. I've heard from some sources that the gasoline has to be drained and replaced, but I've heard from others that just topping off the tank a little is fine for now. Do you have any input?

If you have 4 yr old gas in the tank it does need to be drained. Probably the fuel lines as well.

i was driving 240DL'87 and suddenlyat 15mph it died. and i cannot restart it.
i just bought this from a private party
a few days ago. I can hear the engine
growl as i turn the key to start but no usual vroom sound to get the engine to
fully start. can't figure what might be wrong. where do i begin to troubleshoot?
