I have a 2002 Grand Prix with 93,000Km's on it and does anyone know why a piston would go dead in it. It is a 3.8 V6 the car is like NEW! I have friends with this same engine and they have 300,000km's and still running strong. I keep up with all the maintence, oil changes, Tune up. I don't understand how this could happen. I am looking at alot of money I don't have to replace this engine. Any Advise out there?

Check the spark plug, plug wire and coil pack on the bad cylinder.

Did all that and ended up going with a new used engine! Thanks!

I guess the compression check revealed major internal problems? Sorry to hear that it wasn't a simple, inexpensive fix. Clark
