I have a 5 month old 2012 Acadia that has leaked on me 3 times. First time they told me that the moisture build up on the window, on the inside, is normal! Really? Great feature. Leaked a second time through sun roof and from the parking brake, again they found nothing. Today a rush of water, that i was able to hear, came pouring in through the moon roof in the back and down the side walls, building up in the lens covers of the ceiling lights, my sun roof, my drivers side sun visor. I have had it with this 5 month vehicle. GMC says they have no reports of this in the 2012 model. Lucky me, im the first

There is a high probability of mold infestation in your vehicle. I'd seriously consider dumping the vehicle either by selling it or via lemon law. After three leaks you shouldn't be driving that vehicle.

no way you are the first, I'm having the exact same issue exact same spots, and the dumb part is warranty doesn't cover water leaks. There has to be reoccuring problem because I know at least three other owners with this issue......no coinsidence. I love this suv but would like to have one leak free.

I have a Waterleak in my 07 and the not so nice GMC rep in the Phillipines hung up the phone on me. The water leak damaged my fuse box and the alternator went at the same thing. I feel like I wasted my money buying the Acadia.

Oh wow! That's terrible! We have a 2012 with a sunroof and it has never leaked. If you can pinpoint where you think the leak is coming from they will be more likely to fix it. You can look all along the vehicle for any gaps in the seals.

Thank you for all the information! We have a 2012 that hasn't leaked a drop, but I am starting to worry if it will start! If it does, I will have many hoops to jump through apparently(and unfortunately)

Are these all 2012's??? This seems highly unlikely because they were leak-free since 2009. We have a 2012 with a sunroof and use it a lot, and have never had a leak, through numerous car washes and storms. Also, with all cars,(this was an issue with the old ones leaking, but the tubes were too short) the drainage tubes can get clogged with debris. Do you live in an area with a lot of dust or other sort? If it is the drainage tubes, you can have them cleaned of bockages. Hope this helps!
#223 of 341 What do we do about the consistent leaks?
Jun 26, 2012 (10:36 am)
If GM isn't willing to handle this on a per customer basis and keep pretending like there is no problem, then how about a class action lawsuit against GM? I'm sure this is something the attorneys would love to get their hands on. I just had the sound to my stereo fail along with the turn signal and back up assist sound. This all after the eight leak repair atempts that did nothing. The dealer is now not returning my calls. I bet they're just as sick of the issue as I am. I am going over there right now to give them one more chance to remedy the situation and if they don't then it's time to make some noise!

I agree, GM told me that they are not going to repair my radio, back up assistant light and all because the vehicle is out of warranty.
However, it is not our fault that the vehicle has this issue. they should fix the radio's and anything that was messed up as a result of the water damage.
