'05 Rendezvous; 64,000 miles. I'm thinking it is a bad O2 sensor (cylinder 1 side is bank 1 correct?). I also hear it can be a dirty Mass Air Flow Sensor (which I have no clue where that is). Mileage "seems" OK and gas cap is good. I do not have a repair manual yet and I'm a visual person. This seems like something that can be done at home. Also, my airbag lights are flashing 7 times while ignition is "ON" before turning over. The code is also a maturing code; is that part of the P0172 code (the airbag light flashing). No other codes were detected. Thank You.

Had ck engine light come on, the Mass Air Flow Sensor is attached to air line from air filter, so i cked air filter and found that a n animal mice or chipmonks had eated the filter and built nest in air filter box, reducing air flow, thus the ck engine lite came on. replace filter cleaned mass flow. The The Mass Air Flow Sensor is square. Atfer doing this it takes about 5 trips of driving for the computer to turn ck engine light off. So ck your air filter first good Luck
