Does anyone want to chat about how much they love their MDX? How well it handles; how SWEET it is as an every day driver; how well it did cross country on vacation or to Grandma's house??.

I check these posts 2 or 3 times a week and there are thousands upon thousands of entries from people trying to save an extra 200 bucks on a $40K plus vehicle. Conversely, I posted a performance question over a month ago and received a single reply to date--one scentence at that!

If it's that big of a deal, check out the Hyundai Santa Fe. It is a VERY nice vehicle with similar features of an MDX for about 20% less with every option..

Otherwise, save yourself the headache and bite the bullet already. Life is too short. You won't regret it; trust me.

Sincerely,
'08 Sport w/ ridiculous aftermarket entertainment system.

I agree with you. $200 ~ $300 is acceptable to me, but over $500 is the signal for me to look for other dealers. It took me three days to deal with 3 Acura dealers via emails and phone calls. And bought a MDX on the fourth day. The price is exactly $200 higher than the lowest price I have received, but it doesn't worth for us to visit another dealer with unexpected/unwanted options added to the lowest price that they said they will sell you the car (there are always some tricks before the price). We bought the MDX on the first Acura dealer we visited. We are happy and enjoy the MDX we bought.

Glad to hear it; we visited 2 dealers and I surfed the web for about 1 hour. (How long must one obsess?) Ended up buying at stop 1 in less than 48 hours for several thousand under sticker and got several accessories for half price..

Do you love it or what?

Definitely. But I did spend some time reading the latest postings in the Prices Paid and Buying Experience forum to learn what is the price I am shooting for. And the information did help me reduce the time to negotiate the price with dealers to the reasonable range. For example: the initial quote I got from one of the Internet Manager is $42,600. But after showed the information I copied from Edmunds' posting, the price reduced to 39,800 in his second qoute. And it leads to my final deal much easier and quicker.
