Dog barriers that work well in Rendezvous? by rob_h

Hi, everybody. We just bought a 2005 Rendezvous in wonderful condition with three rows of seating. We have a poodle and a very active 1-year-old Weimeraner that we would like to keep confined to the folded down rear seat area when we are driving. I am investigating several dog barriers on Amazon and other sites, but I thought I would ask here for any advice? Our Weimeraner is very active and anxious. We are afraid that he will destory and/or eat through any mesh barrier.

We are looking at one with metal bars such as the Highland 20045 Universal Pet Barrier, which sells for $40 at Amazon. Anybody else used it in the Rendezvous? Or can you offer a better alternative. We really want to protect our car, as well as prevent our dogs from climbing in the driver's seat – which they desperately want to do at times.
