In another Questions/Answers message thread that is now closed, bancroft162 answered ballast12 about the Acadia's towing capacity, referencing the GM AutoBook, saying that with the towing package, a 2008 Acadia could tow 7,000 lbs. The default rating in the manual and all other press is 4,500 lbs. Does anyone have a page/reference or other official GMC document to confirm the 7,000 lb capacity? My dealer can find nothing, but I would be pleased if my Acadia with its towing package is rated to haul more than 4,500 lbs. Replies to this message: steve_ (Aug 05, 2009 8:31 am)
