Does this have to do with the Ford Flex?

Only because the 355HP TwinForce, EcoBoost SHAM, engine prompted the thought.
#6 of 12 Flex good choice?

I am in a Cadillac SRX, but have had lots of problems with it and am thinking about a used, low mileage, flex. I fell in love with the flex once I sat in it, but am not sure if going from the SRX to Flex, I will be happy.
My "wants" in a vehicle are ride ( smooth), noise ( quiet), space ( for dogs, not so much people) and a feeling of comfort and luxury.
So what do you think, is the Flex a good choice for me, or not?
Thanks!

Like jumping out of the fire into the skillet....
Jump just a bit farther into a Lexus.
The 2010 RX350, for instance.

Take the dog down and check it out. There is a huge amount of space behind the front seats if you don't use the third row.
The only way you will know if it fits YOU is to do the test drive. The only drawback is that it is a large vehicle, with corresponding MPG and handling. But you didn't list MPG as a requirement. Not that the Flex is bad, it does well for it's size.

With the weight/bulk of the Flex it actually NEEDS the TwinForce turbo boost to get it up and going in a respectable timeframe. Regretably that also means the engine MUST be DERATED/DETUNED for light to moderate engine loads/loading.
That, of course, results in rather HORRID FE for hwy cruising.
"Wire" the wastegate(s) fully open and mill the head(s) to get the compression ratio into the standard DFI range of 12:1 and you would probably have satisfactory acceleration and decent hwy FE.

"...(smooth),...(quiet), space..."
A real shame there isn't, will not be, a Lexus version of the new 2011 Sienna.
That leaves you with only one choice, the RX350 or RXh.
Were the RXh not primarily, or ONLY, FWD I would already own one.
I am of the hope that the RXh will adopt the 2010 RX350's new F/awd system. That system could very easily be converted to RWD.
