Shouldn't the FFH be compared to the Camry Hybrid? They are more closely matched, in terms of size, engines and functionality (they are both sedans).

The Camry is of old technology plus comes no where near the FFH in anything.

Personally there is no way I would buy a non Manufacturer warranty. Most you have to jump through hoops plus many dealers won't except them where as the factory one they have to.

I drive a lot of miles, will very likely go over 100k in just under 3 years but got the 4/100k Premium Car plan for $845 with $100 deductible.

Real old, about 3 years? You missed my point in terms of size and function. Enjoy your Ford. They make a pretty good product.

2010 Prius v 2010 FFH v 2010 Camry Hybrid by riverrafter247

I purchased a 2010 Prius this past June. I'd decided I wanted a hybrid, so I test drove the Mercury Milan Hybrid (dealer didn't have the FFH, and this is a twin), the Camry Hybrid, and the Prius.
Quick thoughts on each:
FFH/Milan - pseudo-key start (key in what would be ignition switch); hokey. Acceleration, great, front seating, OK, rear-tight. Trunk...very small. OK people mover for 4 if 2 are kids or smaller adults. Display: nice
Camry Hybrid: ok acceleration, interior felt just like any Camry but back seat almost as tight as Milan; MPH needle gauge seems very out of character; transition between elec and engine noticible. Trunki..smaller than Fusion/Milan, impractical for carrying anything of any size. Quiet
Prius: Spaceship dash takes a little getting used to; multiple displays nice, but the blue-green mono-color outdated. Acceleration ok, but less transition than Camry.
Great carrying space in back of rear seats, and with seats down...wow. Back seat the most comfortable of the 3. Surprisingly quiet even on road for a hatchback.
I chose the Prius.
I'm averaging 56-57 mpg in mostly hwy driving, with a LOT of up and down hills. If I were driving more in the city, or on flatter land, I'd easily exceed 60MPH... without any gimmicks.

You better have your Prius checked. Al Gore's kid got busted doing over 100 MPH in his prius, but it's OK, he was being green!

Sorry, couldn't pass on the typo!

No gimmicks?

Up and down hills?

And getting 56 to 57 MPG? Is that your total average MPG or just the mileage you get during exceptional days?

If 57 MPG is your total average then it sounds like your driving a different Prius than what I am driving. I myself have to struggle just to get beyond the high 40s MPG range.

If your 56 MPG figure is in fact your total average then would it be possible for you to post a photo of your dashboard mileage on this forum ?

Thanks.
