I just wanted to know if anyone else has had problems with their passenger airbag turning off (meaning that the orange light comes on and says "passenger airbag off") when there is a passenger in the front seat?   This happens to me when my husband is driving and I'm in the passenger seat. Every time the light comes on all I can think is that I hope we don't get in an accident! Generally its just my husband and myself riding in the front, so I haven't had the opportunity to see if it happens to other people in my car.   I took it in yesterday for the oil change and had them look at it, but they said its fine. The light on the dash never comes on, but it shouldn't since its not that the airbag is defective, its that the passenger detector mechanism (whatever the heck they might use to do that) is defective.. The service guy asked if I was over 70 lbs, which made me think that 30 lbs is a big difference- so why is the airbag not on??   Maybe I should write to someone at the corporate office or something because all the people at my dealership said was that its working, the computer hasn't registered any issues, and apparently they couldn't care less that it doesn't work when I'm in that seat..   I had a feeling I wasn't the only one out there with this problem, thanks for replying :]
