my mechanic disabled my battery to fix something- I just failed inspection due to the onboard diagnostics not registering any codes. the guy said we need to drive the car alot & it will reset. anyone have any idea how many miles, how fast, etc? Replying to: clady99 (Jul 21, 2009 7:34 am) Well, in looking at the date of your post, you have long achieved the required number of miles for your on-board computer to register. Usually at the "most" 300 miles is plenty, if not within ~100 miles or so with a few engine start and shut-off cycles.
