My service dept just told me the clacking sound when accelerating when the engine is cold is likely "piston slap" - very rare but occurs. They said they may need to rebuild the engine or replace the engine. The SF is just under 2 years old and 24k kms. I really don't want a "new" rebuilt vehicle, even the new engine makes me nervous.
