while driving down the highway, husband heard a noise, he thought he had hit something, sounded like a plastic bottle. About 2-3 miles he came to where he could stop, and noticed transmission fluid running out from underneath the van. He was able to drive it home, no loss of power or slipage. By the time he got home...2-3 miles more, transmission fluid was completely empty. Any ideas what this problem might be?
