I bought a second hand 2007 Sienna LE 8 Passenger (49,000 Km) three weeks ago. Having noticed some noise from the engine (sounds like diesel engine), I took the van back to the delaership for inspection. They mentioned that the noise is due to a variable valve gear bolt being too close to the front engine cover, and Toyota had issued aTSB and updated parts to correct the noise issue. Replying to: zakki (Jul 09, 2009 7:46 pm) I have that exact same van, and mine is quiet. So I'm sure they'll take care of it, because it's not "normal" by any means. Good luck.
