I mean why waste expensive aluminum only to cover with cheap/fake chrome. If indeed they are steel, I wouldn't remove the chrome cladding. Replying to: obyone (Jul 07, 2009 1:53 pm) The wheels on my '09 are definitely 20 x 8.5 five spoke aluminum wheels with the plastic fascia on top. Looking from the inside it appears they used some sort of foam rubber adhesive to attach the plastic on top. I just don't know if irrepairable damage would be done to the wheel and cover by trying to remove it.
