Replying to: albjerryg (Jul 06, 2009 7:12 am) I have no idea what specific 'chip' you are talking about, but, no, it will not work. The only thing it will do is move money from your pocket to theirs. Also, by 2005, there is no 'chip' to be replaced in a 2005 Deville. The computer, and there are actually multiple ones, are an intergrated 'box' without a replacable 'chip'. For your money you will probably get a $.25 resistor with instructions to wire it into some circuit under the hood.
