jimmy hazard lights won't go off

I was installing an aftermarket stereo deck (I have done this multiple times) I was a bit impatient and I hit the hazard lights with the covering that comes off. I am pretty sure it was from the front of the car towards the back, in that direction. Anyways, the button is broken, and I have to remove the first 20 amp fuse in the box (the one on the top left) for them to go off. I would just like to take the hazard lights off, if not completely disabling them. If I can't do that, what can I do?
