2004 chevy aveo 3 major problems

Keep reading, it gets worse #1 My factory installed battery exploded causing corrosion to the metal prong that attaches to the battery, couldn't replace just the metal prong that attaches to the battery because it's seamed in with the cable, so instead of costing 5 bucks for a prong it cost over $200 for the entire cable, though the cable would've been fine, just needed the prong. #2. My timing belt came off before the suggested 60,000 mile replacement. Looked good at the 30,000 visual inspection. It broke through all the valves, repair was $1400.00 discounted #3. My thermostat housing split at the seams, no indication anything was wrong, the car wasn't showing any warning lights or overheating, the only way I knew anything was wrong was I smelt a sweet smell, slowed down, smoke was flying out from under the hood, I popped it open and seen that it was coming from the thermostat housing; made of plastic. I've called the GM complaint line/customer service line, as well as the BBB and am currently filing through them, GM doesn't want to help but I do call anyway to document my troubles as that's the only way they will know this is an ongoing problem for the 04 aveos. Everytime I have a problem, I do a search and see that all the other 04 owners have had the exact same ones. The timing belt thing, that was life threatening for me.. no warnings, in 80mph rushhour traffic, car stopped and I'm in the middle lane out of 6 lanes at 8am.. luckily 2 guys helped get me and the car get out of the way of oncoming traffic... I just got off the phone with the service dept. and the part for problem # 3 is $91.78. My car says daewoo all over the parts under the hood so I'm going to take my part and compare it to some daewoo's, see if I can't find an identical part made of .. let's say METAL. WILLING TO DO CLASS ACTION AGAINST THIS CAR, HOPEFULLY MY ENGINE ISN'T FRIED FROM THE "NO WARNING" I RECEIVED. IF ANYONE IS PURSUING BEFORE I CAN GET TO IT, INCLUDE ME IN, MY CASE NUMBER WITH GM IS 71-734276546. THANK YOU
